San Ramon waterfall

CF86+G37, San Ramón

This beautiful waterfall is located on the slopes of the Maderas volcano. You have to get there by a 4km hike, trough lush green forest where you’ll have a big change of encoutering some monkeys. The hike starts at the Biological Station in San Ramon, there you pay 3 dollar to enter the property. From there you can take your vehicle a bit further upwards, but be careful, it’s not an easy road. It’s also possible to just start hiking from there.

The best time to visit the waterfall is during the rainy season, and the first part of the dry season. In the monts of March to May there can be very little water coming down. The hike can still be beautiful, but the waterfall will be less impressing ofcourse.
